Services to help recover (Article 26)

  • The State should make sure disabled people can lead an independent and healthy life as much as possible and will provide support in health, work, education and social services to help that happen.

  • The State will make sure that they look at disabled peoples’ needs and strengths at an early stage so that disabled people get the support and services they need.

  • These services will be available to disabled people as close as possible to where they live

  • Staff will be trained properly and effectively.

  • The State should look at the different aids, technologies and equipment made to support disabled people to recover.
