Participation in political and public life (Article 29)
Disabled people have the same political rights as others. Disabled people have the right to vote and be elected by:

Making sure voting is easy to do and understand.

Making sure voting is secret.

Providing assistance to help disabled people vote in the way they want, when needed.

Making sure disabled people can be involved in non-government organisations and political parties.
-
Making sure disabled people can form and join organisations of disabled people.

Disabled people have the right to stand for election at all levels of government.
