Over the past two decades, remarkable progress has been made in expanding access to education, but evidence suggests many children with disabilities are still being left behind. Rising above lack of basic facilities in school and colleges like accessibility, trained teachers and books in an alternate format they have scored high percentage and today they are hope and inspiration for the thousands of children with disabilities who drop out from school/college regularly.

Prerana Samman is an effort of Swabhiman to recognize the hard work of students with disabilities and celebrate their success in matriculation and plus 2 examinations. Its impact go a long way by making the students eligible for applying to Anjali Scholarships, and thus reducing the financial burden of the rising costs of a college education. Prerana Samman is one piece in the puzzle of what creates a strong foundation for supporting students in their success.

By 2024- 758 students have received Prerana Samman felicitations, scholarships and educational aids.
