Rights of Women and Children with disabilities (Articles 6 & 7)

The State recognises women and girls who are disabled are treated unfairly in lots of different ways.

The State should do its best to empower disabled women and girls.

The State should work to make sure that disabled women and girls have full, free and equal lives.

The State agrees that disabled children have the same rights as other children and should be treated equally with others.

Actions should be taken keeping in mind what is best for the child

Disabled children have the right to be heard in all things that are related to their lives. Support should be provided to make their voices heard.
