Rights of Women and Children with disabilities (Articles 6 & 7)

• The State recognises women and girls who are disabled are treated unfairly in lots of different ways.

• The State should do its best to empower disabled women and girls.

• The State should work to make sure that disabled women and girls have full, free and equal lives.

• The State agrees that disabled children have the same rights as other children and should be treated equally with others.

• Actions should be taken keeping in mind what is best for the child

• Disabled children have the right to be heard in all things that are related to their lives. Support should be provided to make their voices heard.
