Raising Awareness (Article 8)

The State should raise awareness throughout the society, starting from the family level that disabled people have the same rights and capabilities as everyone else. This can be done through:

​

• Public awareness campaigns aimed at positively changing the perception of the society towards disabled people

• Showing everyone the capabilities of disabled people

• Educating children from an early age to respect the rights of disabled people

• Media portraying disabled people positively

• Supporting more disability awareness work.
